We want to give everyone who uses our services, their families and care workers the confidence that they’ve made the right choice with Axela Care. We’re constantly reviewing and updating our training to give our staff the tools and skills they need to meet the needs of the people in our care.
Our training programme gives care workers an opportunity to develop their skills and find new career options. Every care worker is assessed on their knowledge and skills as part of the recruitment process and the results are incorporated into their annual training plan – a plan that’s reviewed during the year and adapted to their developing needs.
When a service user has specific individual needs, we will create a specific training programme just for them. We run most of our training and courses in-house, using experienced internal and external trainers where applicable.
We also provide our staff with the opportunity to study for an NVQ in Domiciliary Care, Food Hygiene Certification and First Aid Certificates. All these courses are delivered by fully accredited external companies and educational bodies.
Axela Care often provides training for other home care agencies that are unable to provide training themselves.
